VUMmedia is to become Corelio.

28 years ago, the ‘Vlaamse Uitgeversmaatschappij’ (VUM) was founded to ensure publishing continuity for newspapers De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad and De Gentenaar. Since then, VUM developed a range of new initiatives and entered into a number of selected partnerships. It grew into a fully fledged independent media group, now the largest newspaper publisher in Belgium.

Corelio is currently also active in the fields of the internet, radio, television production, free sheets, magazines, the graphics sector and a number of related service activities. It is Corelio's ambition to carry forward the company’s development and to take advantage of any new opportunities.

Moreover, the group aims to produce good reliable newspapers, creative television and enjoyable radio programmes day after day, to continue to captivate readers, viewers and listeners so that the company remains ‘at home everywhere every day’.
